Beyond Steak Tips are a plant-based alternative to steak. This vegan alternative for steak is honestly outstanding. The taste is savory, meaty and delicious. The texture is excellent. Beyond Steak tips have a great chew to them and crisp up on the edges very nicely when sautéed or air-fried.

You can find a bag of these babies in the frozen section of your grocery store. Most likely in the frozen vegan and vegetarian meat section.

HOW TO COOK BEYOND STEAK TIPS FOR GUINNESS VEGAN STEAK SLIDERS

Cooking these Beyond steak tips in a skillet is super easy and quick. You don’t need to start with any oil if you have a non-stick skillet. Just add frozen Beyond steak tips to your skillet and cook them for about 5 minutes over medium heat, stirring frequently.

Once the plant-based steak tips begin to brown, it’s time to add the vegan Guinness Gravy! (Instructions for vegan Guinness gravy are below) Mix to combine the Beyond steak tips and gravy. Cook over medium heat for another five minutes, stirring occasionally, until all of the liquid has been absorbed. Now your vegan steak tips are ready to be turned into sliders!

VEGAN GUINNESS GRAVY

Vegan Guinness gravy is the PERFECT companion for any vegan Beyond steak tips recipe! This super flavorful Vegan Guinness Gravy is made with Guinness beer, sautéed shallots, garlic, vegan butter, flour, vegan not-beef bouillon seasoning, dried shiitake mushrooms, and the perfect combination of seasoning to really drive the flavor home!

IS GUINNESS VEGAN?

Yes! It was a beautiful day for vegans when Guinness finally became vegan! It’s official folks…Guinness beer is vegan!

WHAT DOES GUINNESS BEER TASTE LIKE?

For those of us who have not had Guinness…Guinness is a stout beer. It can be described as light bodied, slightly creamy and sweet. Guinness has a bit of a sharp, bitter flavor from hops, but it’s rounded out with hints of malt, cocoa, cherry and raisin.

Adding Guinness to this vegan stout gravy gives it a sharp, complex flavor that any beer enthusiast will love. For this recipe, I went with Guinness Extra Stout because it has an even bolder flavor than the original and holds up in cooking better.

HOW TO GIVE VEGAN GUINNESS GRAVY A BEEF FLAVOR

What is a popular pairing with Guinness gravy? Beef! But if you don’t eat meat or simply are trying to avoid it, you can get that beef-like flavor without meat!

How? A wonderful little flavor bomb called Not-beef bouillon cubes! These are made by Edward and Sons and they are FANTASTIC! These Not-beef bouillon cubes make vegan “beef” gravy and “beef” broth super simple to make.

WHERE TO BUY NOT-BEEF BOUILLON CUBES

You can buy Edward and Son’s Not-Beef bouillon cubes in some grocery stores, including Whole Foods. You will find them in the broth section or the health food section of the grocery stores. You can always find them online as well! They are sold on Amazon.
