How to Make Roasted Daikon Radishes
Making Roasted Daikon Radishes is incredibly easy! Simply peel and cut the Daikon radishes.
Then toss them in oil and extra seasoning if desired. For this particular recipe, you will be tossing your daikon radishes in soy sauce, rice vinegar, agave, diced garlic, and olive oil. This marinade is simple, but it’s the perfect way to make these roasted daikon radishes delicious!
Next you will bake the seasoned daikon radishes for 30-40 minutes. The size you cut your radishes with alter the time you need to bake them. So check them at the 30 minute mark and give them more time if needed.
Once perfectly roasted, remove your roasted daikon radishes from oven, toss in toasted sesame oil, and top with sesame seeds and sliced scallions. Serve and enjoy!

Easy Roasted Daikon Radish Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 Daikon radish
- 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp agave
Toppings
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 tbsp sliced scallions
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
- Peel and cut your daikon radish into small pieces. Pieces should be about 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch.
- Place cut daikon radishes in a bowl and top with finely chopped garlic, olive oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and agave.**Do not include the toasted sesame oil yet. That will be used AFTER you bake the radishes (toasted sesame oil is already toasted and can become bitter or burnt if cooked to long)
- Place seasoned daikon radishes and garlic on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and roast in the oven for 30-40 minutes. Mix radishes at the 20 minute mark to allow them to cook more evenly. The size of the cut radishes will affect your cooking time.
- Daikon radishes will be done roasting in 30-40 minutes, when the outside starts to brown slightly and the inside is tender and juicy.
- Once daikon radishes are perfectly roasted, remove from oven. Place in a bowl and toss with toasted sesame oil.
- Plate roasted daikon radishes and top with sesame seeds and sliced scallions. Serve and enjoy!
