Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz green beans
  • 1/2 tbsp olive oil can substitute any neutral oil
  • 1/8 tsp salt

For spicy Gochujang Sauce

  • 1 tbsp Gochujang
  • 1 tbsp mirin
  • 2 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 inch fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 1/2 tsp corn starch
  • 1/4 tsp toasted sesame oil

Instructions
 

Air Fry the Green beans

  • Preheat air fryer to 400℉.
    **If your air fryer does not have a preheat button, simply turn it on with nothing in it for 5 minutes before use
  • Toss green beans in olive oil and salt until evenly coated

  • Place green beans on an air fryer tray and place in preheated air fryer. Cook for 10 minutes at 400℉. At the half way mark, mix them around to allow to cook evenly.

  • Green beans will be ready when they are tender and juicy, with a slightly roasted outside.
  • **While green beans are air frying, use your time wisely and prepare the sauce

Prep the spicy Gochujang sauce

  • In a sauce pan, combine all of the ingredients listed under "spicy Gochujang sauce", except for the corn starch and toasted sesame oil. Leave those to the side for now.

  • Cook over medium heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • At the 10 minute mark, add the corn starch and stir until dissolved. Corn starch thickens the sauce.

  • **you need to stir the corn starch in quickly and vigorously do avoid clumping
  • Add toasted sesame oil. Stir to combine and remove sauce from heat.

Put it all together

  • Once your green beans have finished cooking and your sauce is made, it's time to put it all together!
