Air Fryer Masala Spiced Mushrooms : easy Indian recipe

This easy Indian air fryer recipe is made with portobello mushrooms, sweet peppers, and onions seasoned with Chana Masala, garam masala, salt and a touch of oil. These air fryer mushrooms sound simple...and yes, they are simple to make...but the flavor is complex and delicious!

Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz small portobello mushrooms (baby Bella) can substitute any mushroom
  • 8 oz mini sweet peppers, cut can substitute any peppers and cut to size of your choice
  • 1/2 sweet onion, cut can substitute any onion and cut to size of your choice
  • 1 tsp Chana masala
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tbsp oil can use any neutral oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • air fryer

Method
 

  1. Preheat air fryer to 375 degrees F
  2. Thoroughly wash mushrooms and veggies
  3. Cut peppers and onions to size of your choice. Cut mushrooms if desired (I left the whole)
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients

  5. Mix until evenly coated
  6. Place seasoned mushrooms and veggies into air fryer. Make sure they are in a single layer. This will allow them to cook evenly. If you have a small air fryer, you may need to cook in batches
  7. Air fry at 375 degrees F for 8 minutes. Mushrooms and veggies will be done when they are juicy and tender
  8. Remove from air fryer, serve and enjoy!
