Course Appetizer, Side Dish, Snack
- 1 Container of Pillsbury Classic Pizza Crust Dough can substitute Pillsbury bread sticks or pillsbury crescent dough
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp butter, melted I used Miyoko's vegan salted butter. Can use regular butter if desired
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp fresh basil, chopped
- 2 tsp fresh parley, chopped
- 1/8 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce, marinara sauce, or sauce of your choosing This is optional. I personally love Rio's Margherita Pizza Sauce
PREP THE GARLIC HERB BUTTER
Cut the fresh garlic cloves into small, minced pieces
Slice basil and parsley into small pieces
Melt butter in microwave for 15 seconds or until completely melted
Combine garlic, fresh herbs, melted butter, olive oil and salt in a small bowl and mix until evenly combine. Set aside
PREP THE PILLSBURY DOUGH
Open container of Pillsbury Pizza Dough and lay dough out on a surface lined with parchment paper
Cut strips across to form 9 even rows
Cut dough down the center lengthwise with pizza cutter or knife
Tie strips into knots. This is just a simple knot, don't overthink it
Place knots on baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Be sure to give them a bit of space. They will puff up slightly while baking
Top garlic knots with garlic herb butter
Place in preheated oven and bake for 13-15 minutes, or until golden brown
Plate and serve!
Serve along side meal or with sauce of your choosing. Enjoy!
