Vegan Pesto Recipe with Walnuts

Vegan pesto recipe with walnuts, made with fresh basil, garlic, walnuts, vegan parmesan, olive oil, lemon juice, sea salt, and fresh ground pepper. With just a few simple ingredients and less then 10 minutes of your time, you can create a crowd pleasing, flavor bomb of a pesto that can be used in endless ways!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh basil
  • 1/2 cup vegan parmesan I used Follow Your Hear shredded parmesan
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/3 cup walnuts
  • 2 cloves of fresh garlic
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1/8 tsp fresh ground pepper
  • 1 lemon, juiced

Instructions
 

  • Place walnuts in boil water for 5 minutes. Drain.
    **This will make the walnuts less bitter

  • Combine all of the ingredients in a food processor or blender
